TOP 100 TOUR Rules

1. Rules of Golf
1.1 The events will be run in accordance with ‘The Rules of Golf’ as laid down by the R&A and the Local Rules of the courses visited.  

2. Format 
2.1 The playing format is Individual Stableford with full handicap allowance. Play is generally in three and fourballs. Where permitted men will play is from the White tees. Ladies will play from the Red tees. 


3. Who Can Play? 
3.1 The Events are open to all golfers, male and female.
3.2 Competitors under the age of 18 are welcome to take part but must be accompanied by an adult. 

4. Handicaps

4.1 The maximum handicap for male golfers will be 24.4 and the maximum handicap for female golfers will be 28.4.

4.2 Should a person, who does not have a handicap wish to enter then, depending on gender, they will be allocated the maximum handicap.


5. Ties and Countbacks 
5.1 In the case of a tie the result will be decided on a card playoff. 
1) For a one round event this will be resolved by taking into account the last nine holes on the scorecard. If there is still a tie the result will be decided on the last 6, 3, 1 hole/s. 
5.2 In all cases of tied results, the decision will be made based on the order of the holes as set out on the scorecard regardless of where the individual competitors started. 

6. Caddies & Buggies 
6.1 The use of buggies is permitted in the events where they are available for hire. Caddies are permitted at any of the events and the competitor is responsible for his / her caddie’s actions. 

7. GPS Range Finding Equipment 
7.1 The use of GPS and laser range finding equipment which only measures distance is permitted. Under the R&A Rules of Golf the use of smart phones and other devices which provide additional information such as wind speed/direction and distance taking into account gradient is in breach of the Rules of Golf. 

8. Orders of Merit 

8.1 The points gained from each event, that a compeititor has entered, will be added together to get the final OOM standings. These standings will be final and any disputes with the standings must be brought to ahead with the tournament organisers.

 

9. Grand Prize

9.1 The Grand Prize for the Top 100 Tour is 2 VIP Tickets to the U.S. Masters in April 2020. The Grand Prize will be for 2 people sharing, 3 nights accomodation, flights, car rental and 18 holes of golf. 


10. Entry Fee Payment Terms 
10.1 The Entry fee for the England venues will be £60 per person and group bookings of 4 more people will be a 10% discount on that price at £54.

10.2 The Entry fee for the Scotland venues will be £40 per person.

11. Competitor Information 
11.1 Any dietary requirements for the bacon rolls and one course lunch must be filled in on the registration form, when registering.

 

12. Taylormade Prizes

12.1 The third place prize at every event 'unlimited golf balls for one year', will be 6 dozen. 

 

13. Registration

13.1 Registration will close 7 days before each event and at 3pm on the closing date. (e.g. Irvine 13th June - registration closes on the 6th June at 3pm)

13.2 There will be no refund requests accepted after the registration closing date

 

14. Waiting list

14.1 Each event has a maximum of 90 spaces. This is subject to change and the maximum number for each event may be less than 90, depending on tee time allocations. Should an event become over subscribed then those who registered after the 90 places limit has been reached will be autiomatically be placed upon a waiting list. 

14.2 Should a space open up from an event that is at maximum capacity then the next player in order of time of registration will be contacted offering them the place that has opened up. It is up to the player to choose wether they want to accept this or not.
